Colorado Springs is considering a No-Camping Ordinance - the final meeting agenda will be posted Friday, Feb 5.

They will hold a discussion on the ordinance at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 (no public comment) and then vote at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 (last public comment time).

Charles W. Mills, the John Evans Professor of Moral and Intellectual Philosophy at Northwestern University and a leading scholar of the philosophy of race and gender, will deliver the annual Glenn and Ursula Gray Memorial Lecture on "Race and Liberalism." Professor Mills's first book, "The Racial Contract" (Cornell, 1997), reassessed the social contract philosophy at the heart of early modern Western constitutionalism and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. Sponsored by the Colorado College philosophy department and the Cultural Attractions Fund.

The PIKES PEAK COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY BUS ( SUS BUS ) NEEDS A  RELIABLE & RESPONSIBLE
PAID CO-ORDINATOR - DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE?

 JUST FYI:
    We have checks coming in from CS INDY & CS UTILS which should  total over @ 2 K + Other promises -
We need to Find a Key Per for events this summer - IF you know  anyone willing to take on the task - we need:
An SUS BUS CO-ORDINATOR:  10 Key Points here below - We need for  semi - year round except breaks like Dec 15 -
March 15 ( with exception of special dates if weather permits )  And EASE back into things between March 15 - April 15th
We are fine with someone coming on from July 15 to Dec 15th w  reviews @ Sept 15th to see how we create & adjust;

SUS BUS NEEDS RELIABLE & RESPONSIBLE CO-ORDINATOR FOR PIKES PEAK  REGION

A) Whose Tasks would be:
  1) Getting Co-Sponsors to donate to the SUS BUS
   2) Get Calendar of Events set so we know WHERE & WHEN we should  be going & what they will pay us if we can get $$
   3) Co-Ordinate drivers to get the bus to the event & Vols *  ( Best ones are Green Business folks who want public exposure )
      so we can have at least 2 people per event for "Staffing"
    4) Keep track of rotating Displays on Loan & building up  better displays as we make progress
    5) Misc etc around keeping SUS BUS functional - with support  of Sponsors, Board, Mechanics, & Other Vols etc

SUS BUS NEEDS RELIABLE & RESPONSIBLE CO-ORDINATOR FOR PIKES PEAK  REGION:

B) Whose ( Independent Contractor ) income payments would be a  combination of :
    1) $100 a month - Base minimum for stirring up Business etc  see 1 - 5 above with reviews quarterly to boost if possible
    2) $20 per event for showing up & supervising etc w the Vols
    3) 20% of any & all SALES & DONATIONS that come in at any  event where SUS BUS is showcased
   4) 20% of any & all Co-Sponsorships created by the efforts of  this co-ordinator working with Community Funded donations
  5) 20% of any DESIGNATED Grant money earmarked for the SusBus  will go to the Co-ordinator for Operations income

Of course I wrote back to say in no uncertain terms I would not remove this entry for a group doing such great work, and don't need her permissioin to place this call for volunteers. I will continue to support the fantasic work done there (and hope you do too) and ignore this silly posturing from one member.
