A wound for which she was treated and released. This photo is taken just before my photo of Frank's choke hold, but as all pacifists do when confronted with violence, his hands are up to show no attempt to physically defend himself.
This is a textbook practice for arrest, and where it will not keep you from being harmed, it will keep anyone from saying you fought back and resisted arrest. This is a hard discipline to master. The auto response, when attacked, is to stop the attacker with your hands. This will always get you arrested for resisting, although the intent, which the police never have to prove, is not to resist, but to defend yourself.
