About Us
Conservation Stewardship Action Fund (CSAF) works to strengthen bipartisan support for the responsible stewardship of America's lands, waters, and natural resources. CSAF advances practical, durable conservation solutions that support healthy fish and wildlife populations, local economies, outdoor recreation, working lands, and the communities that depend upon them. CSAF's work focuses on building consensus for sound land and water policy at the state and federal levels, recognizes and elevates elected officials who demonstrate leadership on conservation issues, and engages in electoral activities to support candidates committed to responsible stewardship and bipartisan conservation solutions.
Our Board
Christy Plumer — Principal & Founder, Eventide Strategies
Christy Plumer is the principal and founder of Eventide Strategies and has been engaged in conservation policy for over two decades. She has worked in the U.S. Senate for Senator John Chafee (R-RI) and Senator Bob Smith (R-NH), as well as Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, and Water in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee under Senator Chafee (R-RI). She has also held senior roles in the energy sector and at various conservation and sporting community nonprofits.
Lindsay Slater — VP of Government Affairs, national sporting/conservation organization
Lindsay Slater was the Chief of Staff for over two decades for Representative Mike Simpson (R-ID) and was instrumental in conservation efforts in the Northwest and on the Snake River. He now serves as Vice President of Government Affairs for a national sporting/conservation organization. Lindsay is a fifth-generation Oregonian who grew up on his family’s farm/ranch in northeastern Oregon’s Wallowa County.
David Willms — Associate VP for Public Lands, national sporting/conservation organization
David Willms served as a Natural Resource Policy Advisor to Wyoming Governor Matthew Mead (R) and as a Senior Assistant Attorney General for the State of Wyoming. He began his career with the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation and has worked as an attorney in private practice. He continues to reside in Wyoming and serves as Associate Vice President for Public Lands for a national sporting/conservation organization.
